Ghost Town, A Movie

E J says…

This is a modern retelling of Scrooge, although it isn’t Christmas. Instead, the character in need of an emotional heart transplant is a dentist in New York, who is totally self-centered and self-absorbed.

He undergoes surgery at the hospital and dies for several minutes. When he is resuscitated, he sees ghosts. They quickly realize that he can see and talk to them. Now, all these ghosts that have unfinished business hound him asking for help.

Not on your life. (If they had any)

But one guy is persistent. He is able to garner the dentist’s cooperation. But when this ghost says that the dentist is selfish, (you have to watch the movie to see why this hits home) the dentist actually puts an effort into redeeming himself.

This is a light-hearted comedy with some romance – and a big, big dog.
