Tragedy and betrayal are at the heart of this action-packed, fantasy series. Kira is a dragon shifter. Her aunt protects her, and for years they have been forced to flee from city to city, escaping Kira’s murderous family.
Then, one day, the aunt disappears. Kira is forced to reach out to other magicals for help. Thus, starts a long journey to finding out who she really is and reestablishing old connections.
Along the way, she finds love, but even this is fraught. But the heart will go where the heart wants.
In the end, she finds she must stay true to who she is, no matter how alluring alternatives within the dragon shifter community may be.

Well, I don’t write summaries, and I try hard not to write spoilers. There is a lot of action throughout the whole series. Yes, I gave some of the overall internal story, and how the external story starts. The betrayals propel much of the story on both levels. I found the series to be engrossing. It’s a good one.
