Maybe the most fun fantasy series I’ve ever read -Federal Bureau of Magic -Annabel Chase

E J says…

Yes, much of the humor is black. Many of the situations are utterly ridiculous. But I loved this series. The main character wants to leave her black witch family and “go straight”. She joins the FBI and loves her job. Then much to her horror, she detains a vampire, siphons its magic, and bites her partner. (The siphoned magic doesn’t last long, but in this case, long enough to ruin her career. Or, so she thinks.)

Instead, she is inducted into the Magical FBI and sent to her hometown, a small, picturesque New England town on the coast. She can’t get away from family, and has to deal with the incredibly funny antics of her black witch mother and grandmother and her vengeance demon father.

The hot new police chief catches her attention. The fact that he is fully human leads to some dire complications.

She keeps getting more and more Fury characteristics. Yep. Flames in the eyes. Snakes for hair. Yikes.

The town is a gathering place for supernaturals because there is a gate to the underground nearby and ley lines. She gets into one funny situation after the other as she carries out her responsibilities for cleaning up rogue and wayward supernaturals.
